Euronext Foundation

Supporting financial literacy, diversity and inclusion, and marine resources

The Euronext Foundation aims to foster Euronext's support of local sustainable communities and projects across Europe in the fields of financial literacy, diversity and inclusion in finance, and marine resources.

It acts as an umbrella encompassing Euronext’s philanthropic and educational support via dedicated funding and volunteering initiatives to empower young people, promote sustainability, and strengthen our connections with local communities.

Euronext is committed to:

Financial literacy

Improving the financial knowledge and skills of people across Europe. We are committed to reaching a broad community of companies across and beyond the financial community, as well as teachers, students, and members of the wider population.

Diversity and inclusion in finance

Promoting a diverse and inclusive financial industry, by working with schools, recruitment agencies, and local network partnerships to attract and recruit more diverse talents and to ensure an inclusive hiring process.

Marine resources

With a rich marine history in all its countries, Euronext’s goal is to be a leader in advancing the Blue Economy to address the threats to the oceans and contribute to enhanced ocean and coastal resilience.

Initiatives

Euronext Blue Challenge

Euronext Blue Challenge

The Euronext Blue Challenge is an entrepreneurship education programme launched by Euronext in partnership with JA Europe, the largest non-profit in Europe dedicated to preparing young people for employment and entrepreneurship.  The programme aims to inspire students aged 16 to 18 about sustainable finance and help them develop core competencies such as teamwork, problem solving and entrepreneurial skills.

Through this collaboration, we aim to contribute to financial literacy and encourage innovation to limit climate change and to promote the blue economy amongst young entrepreneurs across Europe.

Internationa women day

International Women's Day

By supporting gender equality throughout our business operations and value chains, we model the society we want to live in.
Equal treatment of all is not just the right thing to do – it is the only thing to do. It means more talent, higher productivity, and better results.

At Euronext, we believe that, collectively, we can drive decisive action to improve gender-balanced leadership at institutions. We are fully committed to retaining, developing, and growing the representation of women in leadership, by inspiring and promoting tangible practices within the company and our community, while supporting our ecosystem.

Coastal Clean Up Euronext

Coastal cleanup activities

Euronext is the first exchange signatory of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)’s Sustainable Ocean Principles. The conservation and sustainable use of the oceans, seas, and marine resources for sustainable development, covered by UN Sustainable Development Goal 14, is embraced by Euronext and is dear to our community.

Euronext volunteers from the Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal and UK offices take part annually in our week of water-front clean-up initiatives on their country’s coast, canals or rivers, filling dozens of bags with rubbish and preventing it from ending in the ocean.
